I just love the threads of history contained within nursery rhymes, lullabyes and children’s games that survive – the bridge across where the predominant Oral Tradition cultures morphed into Today’s “Google It” offerings – and yet, how much wisdom is being lost, as we no longer repeat the rhymes, tales, songs with our children, we know by heart from our childhood – ? 🙂 Ring Around the Rosey may have dark meanings, but, that time in history was dark, and embeded within it was suggestions on what to do to try to avert – – LOL
