Today I learned a new English word. A long one. One of those words that makes you go:
“Who hurt the English language?!”
The actual word is…
floccinaucinihilipilification.
Yes. Try saying that five times fast. Go ahead. I’ll wait.
My first attempt:
Flo-see-nau-blah-blah-blah-blah-tion
The real pronunciation, according to the dictionary:
flock-see-now-sih-NIH-luh-fih-KAY-shun
Meaning? To consider something worthless.
Basically, a fancy way of saying: “I don’t care about this nonsense.”
But let’s be honest… that word is way too long to use in daily life. So I give you my version:
Flock. See. Now.
Translation: “Gather around, good people!”
it’s fun, easy, and now officially my new favorite word.
