Well, here we are. Thirteen years.
NBC is still my sanctuary. Itβs still the place where I can be independent and quiet. Itβs still the purrfect platform for my art, my sometimes-wicked humor, and the memories of those I love.
To mark the occasion, I thought Iβd share 13 simple joys that makes my heart purr:-
1. Sipping my morning coffee β Aka cat-puccino.
2. Sunbathing on that warm square of sunlight on the floor just for me.
3. Knocking things off the table and watching my human pick them up.
4. Enjoying the lup dup lup dup of a human heartbeat when they hug me.
5. My daily stretching at my 82cm tall scratch pole.
6. Curling up in warm laundry – freshly dried and perfectly folded
7. Taking over the comfiest cushion
8. Books – not reading them, just sitting on them like the intellectual cat I am.
9. A good laugh watching humans trip over me – I was clearly sleeping there. Not my fault.
10. Birds chirping outside the window – music to my earsβ¦ while Iβm sleeping,
11. Bird TV through the window. (Live series)
12. Sudden bursts of inspiration – aka 2 a.m. zoomies.
13. Knowing, without a doubt that this whole household runs on my schedule.

Iβm stepping out from behind the keyboard for a moment and sharing a little piece of my heart β through song.
If youβve ever wondered what NBC sounds like when sheβs not typingβ¦ hereβs a small glimpse. πΆ
I’ll be posting Bridge Over Troubled Water later today.

Thank you for listening, and as always, thanks for being here.

Where thereβs a whale, thereβs a way!
When life gives you spare hangersβ¦ make toilet roll holders! ππ§»
A little creativity goes a long wayβ¦even in the bathroom! π

The parent was firmly rooted to the log, a loss I had to accept. π

But I managed to rescue the baby before the grass cutter struck.
Now the little one’s thriving β twine-wrapped, wide-eyed, and nosy! ππ

Made this little keepsake with Kiwi in my heart β a simple tin, dressed in warmth and love. Each strand of twine holds a quiet whisper of the past. Sometimes the smallest creations carry the biggest pieces of our hearts.
And maybe that’s what healing really is β finding tender ways to keep love alive, one handmade memory at a time.πποΈ

This little plate will always have a special place in my heart. It was a gift from an Aussie friend, and it quickly became Kiwi’s daily carrot plate. Somehow, he only loved Aussie carrots β nothing else would do! π
Maybe he had a taste for the finer things in life.
Every time I see this plate, I can almost picture him happily nibbling away.
It’s funny how ordinary things – like a plate or a carrot β can hold so many memories. They remind me that love leaves traces everywhere, even in the simplest moments. ποΈ π
