The Newport Aquarium in Kentucky has the most brilliant design. As you walk through you come to the otter exhibit which is in a brightly lit, rocky room where the screaming kids and yelling parents echo and the otters are playful and fun to watch.
The next room is the jellyfish exhibit. The whole room is dark and there are couches in soft burgundy fabric where you can sit and watch the jellyfish float in dimly lit tanks.
Thank you for reminding me of that, and for that reminder that with no darkness there is no light.
