Dear Dad,
I’m sending birthday wishes to you today
all the way up to the sky.
And reminiscing the simple things
you enjoyed or made you glad like
… a cup of tea in the afternoon
… reading
(You loved to read both English and Chinese books. And I remember returning some books to the rental shop after your passing)
.
.. singing church hymns
(You were still singing to the gospel songs in the car even at the final stage of cancer)
… making chapati
(Indian flat bread)
.
.. bringing home a new puppy.
… lending a helping hand to friend or stranger
Happy 85th Birthday, Dad!
Much love …
I love rotis/chapatis

Me too, Dai! I kept the griddle which my dad used, but after moving house a few times, it just went missing. I’ve been thinking about getting a new one. ヘ(= ̄∇ ̄)ノ
