I never understood why liquor stores were open on Thanksgiving….until I heard the tales of woe from folks who only spend one or two days a year with their family, because they ‘sigh, have to…it’s Thanksgiving/Christmas’ — Sigh – every year I look at my ‘holiday, if we can, we want to get together for food, games, story swapping and catch up with each other? I give thanks I was born to a family I like spending the holidays with – – 😀
Low key – family member moved so we did pizza/unpacking boxes and such and saved the freezer/non-perishable foods for traditional dinner to do in December. But still – we had work, food, and time to take a break and play games, so it was good! Hope yours was too!
