Before, I hadn’t given much thought to whether it was better to have a cat or a dog. The family was used to always having a cat in the house.
However, once on a first date with a man I realized that we were completely different and not suited for each other, because he only liked dogs and I liked cats and we had different attitudes to animals. It was a shock to me that my love of cats was affecting my personal life.
