The significance of the cherry blossom tree in
Japanese culture goes back hundreds of years.
In their country, the cherry blossom represents
the fragility and the beauty of life.
It’s a reminder that life is almost overwhelmingly
beautiful but that it is also tragically short.

“I have come to believe
over and over again that
what is most important
to me must be spoken,
made verbal and shared,
even at the risk of having it
bruised or misunderstood.”

Let’s start the race!

xb2020x2
I live in a country where
we are still defined by our race.
Some say,
it’s to preserve our own culture and heritage.
But I beg to differ as
over the years had caused much
discrimination and discord.
And those in authority are
killing our spirits
with their on-going rhetoric
for popularity and votes.
We need to see ourselves as
one nation, one human race.
Let us join our hearts together
to push for change
no matter how difficult
or long it may take
for the sake of our children
and future generations.
The time is now, my friends.
Let’s start the race today!

Quote Challenge

Eli from the blog, Coach Daddy nominated me for a quote challenge and the rules are:

  1.  Three One days
  2.  Three quotes
  3.  Three nominees each day

Humans often think that cats spent 95 percent of their time sleeping and relaxing and the other 5 percent eating and stretching/scratching. But that is far from the truth. Cats have ups and downs in life too.  And for the longest time, the following quote would best describe my life.

Quote # 1

“It’s all messy.  The hair.  The bed.  The words.  The heart. Life …” –William Leal

Then one day, I stumble upon an interesting quote by a wise and famous tailwagger.

Quote # 2

“In the books of life, the answers aren’t in the back.” – Charles Schulz

My life’s perspective has since changed and I now live by the following quote.

Quote # 3

“Fear less, hope more; eat less; chew more; whine less, breathe more; talk less, say more; hate less, love more; and all good things are yours.”Swedish Proverb

Quote of the day – Haruki Murakami

lost-something

“Every one of us is losing something precious to us.

Lost opportunities, lost possibilities,

feeeling-lost

feelings we can never get back again.

That’s part of what it means to be alive.”

Quote of the day – Jim Rohn

The walls we build around us to keep sadness out…

cat-in-the-wall-1

also keeps out the joy.”
