This little plate will always have a special place in my heart. It was a gift from an Aussie friend, and it quickly became Kiwi’s daily carrot plate. Somehow, he only loved Aussie carrots โ nothing else would do! ๐
Maybe he had a taste for the finer things in life.
Every time I see this plate, I can almost picture him happily nibbling away.

It has been days since our beloved budgie, Kiwi, left us on 15 Octoberโbut somehow, traces of him still linger in the most unexpected places.
And today, while sweeping the floor, I found another tiny featherโฆ and then a bigger one.
Some might say itโs just coincidence. But to us, these feathers feel like love notes. Quiet reminders from a little soul who brought so much joy into our home. Maybe Kiwi is reminding us that heโs okay. Or maybe he just wants to say, โIโm still here. Just in a different way.โ
Whatever it is, Kiwi was so loved. And love always leaves traces ๐
