Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Remembering the amazing Dr Seuss with some of his witty, wacky and fun quotes:-
“Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.”
“From there to here, and here to there, funny things are everywhere.”
“Just tell yourself, Duckie, you’re really quite lucky.”
“A person’s a person, no matter how small.”
“Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”
“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”
“I’m sorry to say so but, sadly, it’s true that bang-ups and hang-ups can happen to you.”
“ I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.“
“Why fit in when you were born to stand out.”
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, Nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
“From there to here, and here to there, funny things are everywhere.”
“Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.”
“You’ll miss the best things if you keep your eyes shut.”
“You’re in pretty good shape for the shape you are in.”
“ASAP. Whatever that means. It must mean, ‘Act swiftly awesome pacyderm!”
Adults are just obsolete children and the hell with them.”
“You’re never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child.”
“Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try!”
“Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.”
“Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets.”

Quote of the day – Adam Rex
Quote of the day – Emily Dickinson
“Find ecstasy in life;
the mere sense of living
is joy enough.”
– Emily Dickinson
Quote of the day – Jerry Spinelli
Happiness is …
…wearing a chic-looking sombrero!

“Ahhh…it fits me purrfectly!”

“It’s pretty cool! You should wear one too!”

“Who cares what others think!”

“What matters is…I ‘hat’ fun!”
Keep Looking Up – NBC
NBC is 5 today!
I can’t believe how quickly time has passed. Today is exactly 5 years since I started blogging. I was looking for a new hobby and thought it would be awesome to have an online journal. A place where I can share my a little about my life, random stuff, quotes or humor with the world.
Blogging has also been a wonderful platform for me to express myself and share my deepest thoughts and wishes which are buried deep within. You know, some things in life are so mind-boggling.
Sydelle who was then only 6-year old suggested the name ‘New Bloggy Cat’ for my blog. She adores cats and she even drew me this picture for my profile.
Two years later when she was 8, she drew another picture for me which still remained as my profile picture.
My two daughters have been and still are my biggest inspiration when it comes to blogging. And Shaye, my 6-year old use to say ‘Blob’ instead of ‘Blog’ when she was younger. I loved the way she asked me, “Mom, are you going to post something on your blob? “
What I’ve learned these past 5 years is that…
…there are so many wonderful bloggers out there who are unbelievably talented when it comes to sharing their passion.
…it is okay to make grammar mistakes because it’s all part of the learning process.
…it does not matter how many people clicked the ‘like’ button on my post or how many are following my blog. It is not about the numbers but the passion for blogging.
…blogging does not have to be for monetary gain. I once suggested to a friend to start a blog and she said to me, “I will not do anything for free.” But I believe she’s missing out on the priceless gift and joy of just blogging for fun.
…blogging is therapeutic and it makes me happy. It keeps me going and growing.
Thank you all for being part of my wonderful blogging experience!
~Keep looking up, my friends!~

“Time to switch off. See you soon, folks!”
“It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn’t use long, difficult words
but rather short, easy words like “What about lunch?”
