Versatile blogger
Sometime late November last year, I was nominated for the Beautiful Blogger and Very Inspiring Blog awards approximately two weeks after I started this blog. I was excited but at that time I really had no idea what it was all about, being a new and not so tech-savvy blogger.
It was a pleasant surprise to receive the nomination of the Versatile Blogger Award from the blogger of the beautiful blog Letters to Chace & Harper. Thank you for the nomination. I’m truly grateful and glad to know others have been inspired by my blog.

Joke of the day – Religious parrots
The priest had two parrots and taught them religiously to say the rosary. He even had two sets of rosary beads made. After a year of rigorous training he was delighted to have them perform at country fairs.
The priest was so pleased he decided to teach another parrot the rosary and bought a new parrot from the pet shop.
When he put it into the cage one of the originals said to the other. “Throw away your beads Fred, our prayers have been answered. It’s a sheila!”

Basic Butter Cake Recipe
My kids just love butter cake. I know butter cake is not a healthy choice but I believe it’s alright if you take everything in moderation. So, here’s a simple butter cake recipe you’ll enjoy.
Ingredient:
250 g butter
100 g castor sugar (reduced)
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
200 g self raising flour (sifted)
4 tbsp fresh milk
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 170°C. Grease and flour a 9 by 2-inch round cake pan.
2. Cream butter & sugar until light and creamy.
3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until mixture is light and fluffy.
4. Add vanilla.
5. Fold in sifted flour gradually to mix.
6. Stir in milk. Mix until well combined.
7. Turn out mixture into prepared tin.
8. Bake in preheated over for 35 – 40 minutes or until cooked through when tested with a skewer or toothpick.
