I’m in a Chinese restaurant and this duck comes up with a red rose and says: “Your eyes sparkle like diamonds.”
I said: “Waiter, I asked for a-ROMATIC duck.”
My New Year Solutions, Not Resolutions
This year I want to be a monkey
![]()
Jumping from tree to tree
Next year I can be a donkey
![]()
Braying from sky to sea.
Every year I want to change
And experience something new
I wish I am something strange
![]()
Like the disappearing dew.
I want to feel the life of a lion king
![]()
Sitting inside its majestic skin
Turning into a peacock I will sing
And be a cuckoopea Siamese twin
![]()
Why can’t I be a bubble?
Blow away and disappear
Instead of getting into trouble

Making resolutions every year.

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”
“If we tend to the things that are important in life, if we are right with those we love, and behave in line with our faith, our lives will not be cursed with the aching throb of unfulfilled business. Our words will always be sincere, our embraces will be tight. We will never wallow in the agony of ‘I could have, I should have’. We can sleep in a storm. And when it’s time, our goodbyes will be complete.”
― Mitch Albom
Thanks Sue, for such a lovely prayer of comfort and hope to share with all. Blessed Christmas to you! ヅ
Angel Prayer.
Sweet Angels gather around my bed
Please take up the names I have said.
For healing thoughts tonight I’ve given
Send them swiftly back to heaven.
So that a host of healing love
Can shower down from those above
To all the names my prayers beseach
Bring love and comfort that they seek
To all the children abused and scared
And to those whose speech impaired
A friendly smile to warm their heart
And bring those comfort whom depart.
Let your Angel wings descend
To give them strength, let’s not pretend-
That all is right within this Earth
But help reveal each owns true worth.
Dear Angel whose light’s so bright,
Help mankind see his plight.
And help him balance all his ways
Or numbered too, are all his days.
To all in China, still spare a thought
Rebuild the lives…
